Vodafone Idea Announces Steep Hike in Recharge Prices Following Jio and Airtel

Following Jio and Airtel, Vodafone Idea has significantly raised its cellphone recharge costs by 10 percent to 21 percent effective from July 4.

Coimbatore: In a recent update that mirrors moves by competitors Jio and Airtel, Vodafone Idea has dramatically increased its recharge prices for mobile services. The price adjustments, announced recently, will see increases ranging from 10% to 21% across both prepaid and postpaid plans. These new rates will be effective starting July 4.

This price revision means that a plan with 28 days validity offering daily 1.5 GB data will now cost ₹349, up from the previous ₹299. Similarly, the annual plan providing daily 1.5 GB data for 365 days has been pushed from ₹2,899 to ₹3,449. This development is significant as it indicates a trend of rising costs in the telecom sector which might affect a large number of consumers relying on these services for daily communication.
