Defamation Case Filed Against Edappadi K. Palaniswami in Coimbatore Court

A defamation lawsuit has been filed against ADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami at a Coimbatore court following remarks made during a press interaction at Coimbatore airport.

Coimbatore: In recent developments, a new defamation case has been lodged against ADMK's General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami in Coimbatore court. The case was initiated by former Parliament member KC Palaniswami after comments made by Edappadi K. Palaniswami during a press meet at Coimbatore airport.

During the interaction, when responding to questions asked by journalists regarding a coordination committee, Edappadi remarked on KC Palaniswami's late membership to the ADMK during the tenure of OPS (O Panneerselvam). Critical of the role played by KC Palaniswami in the committee, Edappadi’s words sparked controversy, leading to the defamation suit filed today at JM Court No. 1 in Coimbatore. "Edappadi K. Palaniswami has been spreading false information about me. Hence, I have initiated a defamation case against him," stated KC Palaniswami.

The hearing of this case has been postponed to the 26th of this month.
