GKNM iOP Sets New Record as Asia's Largest Integrated Out-Patient Centre

GKNM iOP in Coimbatore achieved the title of Asia's Largest Integrated Out-Patient Centre. Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy was awarded the certificate on June 22, 2024, by Asia Book of Records' adjudicator Vivek R Nair.


Coimbatore: In a remarkable feat, GKNMH Medical Research Institute & Out-Patient Centre (GKNM iOP) has set a new benchmark by earning the title ‘Largest Integrated Out-Patient Centre’ in Asia. This prestigious recognition was formally awarded by the Asia Book of Records following a successful attempt to meet the stringent guidelines and criteria issued by the organization on June 22, 2024.



The ceremony saw Vivek R Nair, the Adjudicator from Asia Book of Records, handing the certificate to Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, CEO of GKNMH. The event took place in the presence of various media representatives, marking a significant milestone for the healthcare facility.



Spanning an impressive area of 3.3 lakh square feet and located on 2.39 acres of land, the GKNM iOP hosts 30 medical departments and employs over 200 experienced medical practitioners. With a structure comprising 6 floors in addition to 2 basements, the centre offers extensive services such as diagnostics, urgent care, and day-care surgeries. Additional amenities include Yoga and Acupuncture, a round-the-clock pharmacy, and comprehensive home care services. The establishment of such an expansive facility underscores GKNM iOP’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access and services in the region.
