Vel Murugan Emphasizes Need for Caste-Based Census to Uphold Social Justice in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Vazhvurimai Party leader Vel Murugan stressed the necessity of a caste-based census to ensure job opportunities and social justice for Tamils, amid increasing dominance of non-state residents.

Coimbatore: During his visit to Coimbatore for the DMK's grand event at Kodissia, Tamil Nadu Vazhvurimai Party leader Vel Murugan brought the focus back to the urgent need for a caste-based census in Tamil Nadu. Speaking to journalists at the airport, he voiced his concern over jobs and economic opportunities rightfully belonging to Tamils being increasingly taken over by people from other states. As per Vel Murugan, such a census would help distribute educational and employment rights fairly across different communities, ensuring true social justice as envisaged by the state's governance principles.

"The state government, led by Makkaludan Mudhalvar, needs to act swiftly to implement a caste oriented census ensuring that all communities receive their due rights and opportunities," Vel Murugan declared. His visit aims not only to participate in DMK’s event but also to propagate this vital message throughout his engagements. He highlighted the role of the Tamil Nadu Vazhvurimai Party in consistently advocating for the rights of marginalized communities, underscoring that the political success in Tamil Nadu should inherently support the principles of social justice.

Vel Murugan also commented on the success of alliance under the leadership of DMK throughout the past elections, crediting robust policies, people’s trust, and hard work of party volunteers for the enduring support to the DMK led alliance. He strongly believes that the commitment to social justice will assure continuous governance under this coalition in forthcoming elections.

By upholding this cause, Vel Murugan and his party aim to address the disparities in resource distribution and promote a balanced social structure in Tamil Nadu, championing the cause of those often left behind.
