Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS inaugurates Sugunapuram Primary School Section-2 to benefit students from Bethel LMC Middle School and Sugunapuram Primary School.
Coimbatore: The Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS inaugurated the functioning of Sugunapuram Primary School Section-2 to benefit students from Bethel LMC Middle School and Sugunapuram Primary School.
The Bethel LMC Middle School in Sugunapuram, Ward No. 92, operated with government aid but could not accommodate the increasing number of students. The Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS, inaugurated Section-2 of the Sugunapuram Primary School today (12.06.2024) to benefit the students of Bethel LMC Middle School and Sugunapuram Primary School.
The Deputy Mayor R Vetriselvan was present at the event, where the Commissioner distributed supplies to the students. The local community expressed their gratitude for the new facility.
Following this, the Commissioner inspected the site for the new sewage water pumping station under the underground sewerage scheme at Raghavendra Garden, Ward No. 40,
and the sewage treatment plant site at Chokkampudur crematorium, Ward No. 77.
Additionally, he reviewed the desilting work of Krishnampathy tank in Pusaripalayam, West Zone.
Earlier, at the South Zone office premises, the Commissioner led all officials and employees in taking the World Day Against Child Labour pledge.
The event was attended by Assistant Commissioners Elangovan (Acting), Sandhya, Corporation Education Officer Thomas Xavier, TWAD Board Executive Engineer Shamila, Assistant Executive Engineers Kanakaraj, Savitha, Councillors Padmavathi Ravichandran, A S Shankar, Zonal Health Officer Andiappan, school headmasters, and Corporation officials.
