TN CM MK Stalin Releases AK Rajan Report Against NEET in Multiple Indian Languages; hails DMK as the first party to stand against it in principle

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has released the AK Rajan report on NEET in nine languages, including seven Indian languages, calling out NEET’s adverse effects against federal rights, seeking an exemption from NEET.



Coimbatore: DMK leader and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has officially released the AK Rajan report criticizing the NEET examination in nine languages, aiming to highlight the issues associated with NEET across a wider audience. This move comes after a bill demanding an exemption from NEET was passed in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and now awaits Presidential assent.

The report, led by Justice A.K. Rajan, was commissioned to study the impact of the NEET-based admission process on students from varied demographies. Extensive data was analyzed, along with feedback from students, parents, and the public. According to the report, NEET is anti-poor and obstructs social justice, prompting statewide campaigns against it under the DMK's initiative.

Alongside the release, the Chief Minister criticized the delayed response from the Governor and shared the links for the public to download the report in various languages including English, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, and Bengali. This step reaffirms the state's opposition to NEET and emphasizes transparency, encouraging public discourse on the matter.

The CM's efforts highlight the growing nationwide opposition against NEET, exacerbated by recent large-scale discrepancies in the examination process. As more states get involved, this documentation could be pivotal in reforming the medical admissions process across India.
