Commemoration and Welfare Event Held by DMK in Peelaemedu, Coimbatore

DMK Secretary N. Karthik and other dignitaries honored the centenary of leader Kalaignar at his portrait in Peelaemedu Anna Nagar. A welfare event distributing aids to sanitation workers and public also took place on June 3rd.


Coimbatore: In celebration of the centenary anniversary of the leader Kalaignar, a ceremony was organized by DMK Secretary and former MLA N. Karthik at Peelaemedu Anna Nagar, Coimbatore. The event included a floral tribute to Kalaignar's portrait, honoring his contributions and legacy.



Local leaders and public figures including East Zone Chairperson Lakshmi Ilanchezhiyan Karthik participated in the ceremony by paying floral tributes. The highlight was commemorating the visionary leader's influence and celebrated works that have impacted the Tamil society deeply.



In alignment with the centenary celebration, a welfare initiative was concurrently held where aids were distributed to sanitation workers and the local public, ensuring community support and upliftment. The initiative reflected the party's commitment to social welfare and public service.



Prominent DMK members such as V. Balasubramanian, R. Manikandan, and many others from the party and local governance attended the event. The assembly showcased a strong sense of community and respect for Kalaignar's enduring influence in regional politics and social issues.
