Forest officials intensify the search for a missing elephant calf near Maruthamalai as its mother receives continuous treatment. Efforts increase following the calf's disappearance.

Coimbatore: Amid the ongoing treatment of a female elephant near Maruthamalai, forest officials are ramping up efforts to locate her missing calf. The calf, previously seen accompanying its mother, has not been spotted for the past two days.

The female elephant was found in a weakened state and has been under continuous veterinary care from a team of forest department veterinarians. A crane has been used to assist in her treatment and stabilization. The health of the mother elephant shows improvement, and she has resumed eating independently.
