Theft at Sungam Park Town in Coimbatore: Woman's Purse with Jewelry and Cash Stolen

In Coimbatore's Ramanathapuram area, Sungam Park Town, an elderly woman named Helen Padma Rani faced a theft incident where her purse containing jewelry and cash was stolen from near a window.


Coimbatore: In a distressing event, Helen Padma Rani, a 63-year-old woman from East Tambaram, Chennai, reported that her purse, kept next to a window, was stolen while she was sleeping at a relative's house in Sungam Park Town, Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of May 24, involved the theft of 4 sovereigns of gold jewelry and Rs. 14,000 in cash. It is believed that the purse was snatched through the window. Following the incident, Helen reported the theft at the Ramanathapuram Police Station. The police have registered the case and are currently investigating to track down the perpetrators.
