Coimbatore: In a significant crackdown on illegal drug trafficking, Coimbatore police arrested three individuals for selling ganja near Thennampalayam Four Road. Following a tip-off received on May 22, Sulur Police Station's officers conducted a thorough vehicle inspection in the area.
During the search, Baburaj (24), Nagaraj (22), and Thibunayak (29), all residing in Karumathampatti, were found transporting ganja for sale. The trio was subsequently arrested, and the police confiscated 2.4 kilograms of ganja from their possession. They were later remanded to judicial custody and placed in prison.
