AJK College of Arts and Science Inaugurates New AR/VR Experience Center

On May 22, 2024, AJK College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore launched its AR/VR Experience Center, with notable guests and displays emphasizing the integration of cutting-edge technology in education.


Coimbatore: AJK College of Arts and Science celebrated the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Experience Centre on May 22, 2024. The ceremony began at 11:20 a.m., attended by renowned dignitaries and industry experts.

Dr. S. Raju, Principal of AJK College of Arts and Science, delivered the welcome address, extending his gratitude to all attendees and highlighted the significance of embracing innovative technology in education and stressed the importance of fostering technological advancements in academia. The Presidential Address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, Secretary of AJK College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan stressed the imperative of nurturing technological advancements for equipping students with the requisite skills and competencies sought after in forthcoming job markets and placements.



The event was graced by distinguished guests, including E. Vendhan, Manager, Cyber Risk Advisory, Deloitte , Priyadharshini Karthik Ram, Cyber Security Manager, Capgemini and Karunakaran Nagarajan, Manager, Human Resource, Deloitte. These esteemed guests shared their insights and perspectives on the evolving landscape of technology and its impact on various industries.

AJK College of Arts and Science has taken a bold step by introducing the first-of-its-kind program Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)- focusing on Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) among the arts colleges in India This innovative initiative places AJK College at the forefront of technology education in the country. The primary objective is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of AR and VR technologies, positioning them as leaders in the rapidly evolving field of immersive experiences. The department also aims to establish itself as an innovation hub for AR/VR technologies, encouraging research, experimentation, and the development of cutting-edge applications that push the boundaries of what is possible in virtual and augmented realities.



The AR/VR Experience Center at AJK College of Arts and Science is poised to revolutionize the way students engage with their coursework, by providing immersive learning opportunities that bridge the gap between theory and practice. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the center promises to nurture the next generation of tech-savvy professionals.
