Coimbatore's Gandhi Park hosted the 33rd death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Congress members paid tribute by garlanding his portrait and offering floral respects.
Coimbatore: The 33rd death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, a Bharat Ratna recipient and former Prime Minister of India, was solemnly observed today, May 21, at the Gandhi Park Roundabout in Coimbatore.

The event was organized under the auspices of the Coimbatore North District Congress Committee. A portrait of Rajiv Gandhi was adorned with garlands, and floral tributes were laid as a mark of respect.

The commemoration was led by Coimbatore North District Congress leader VMC Manohar. Dignitaries present included the Deputy Leader of the Congress Party in the state, MN Kandasamy, former MLA Alagu Jayabalan, state general secretary Pachaimuthu, along with councillors, and division leaders from Youth Congress and Mahila Congress.
