College Student's Phone and Cash Stolen from Car Near Nava India Junction, Coimbatore

In Coimbatore, a college student named Balakarthik had his phone and Rs. 700 stolen from his car near Nava India Junction following an altercation with a biker.


Coimbatore: A theft incident occurred near Nava India Junction where Balakarthik, a 21-year-old college student from Nanjundapuram, Abdul Kalam Street, reported the theft of his cellphone and Rs. 700. According to reports, the incident happened on May 16 when Balakarthik, who is studying at a private college in Coimbatore, drove to a shop in Peelamedu.

On his return, his car brushed against a biker near Nava India Junction. Following a brief argument, the biker allegedly snatched the items from the front seat of the car and fled the scene. Balakarthik has lodged a complaint at the Peelamedu police station, and the police have initiated an investigation based on the report.
