Man Arrested for Illegally Selling Alcohol Near Lanka Corner, Coimbatore

In Coimbatore, a 64-year-old man from Virudhunagar district was arrested for illegally selling alcohol at a Tasmac near Lanka Corner. The incident occurred on May 9 during a sudden police raid.


Coimbatore: In a significant crackdown on illegal activities, Coimbatore police conducted a surprise raid at a Tasmac store near Lanka Corner, close to the railway bridge on Periya Kadai Veedhi. The raid led by Ukkadam Police Inspector Ramesh Kumar and Sub Inspector Vignesh took place on the morning of May 9.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Selvakumar, a 64-year-old individual from Virudhunagar, who was found selling alcohol illegally in the early hours. During the operation, the police team also seized 36 bottles of alcohol from the premises.
