During the interaction, he disclosed that Shankar had been physically attacked during his imprisonment, leading to the necessity of urgent medical treatment. Following a court directive, Shankar has been receiving medical care at the Coimbatore Government Hospital, where X-rays revealed fractures in two places on his hand.

The advocate also mentioned that Shankar had been put in casts and is recovering from mental stress after the treatment. He confirmed the assault's confirmation, adding that while Shankar was under police custody, a request was retracted concerning the transfer of his custody.
