Daylight Home Invasion Leads to Brutal Murder and Theft in Balaji Nagar, Coimbatore

In a shocking daylight incident in Coimbatore, a woman named Renuka was brutally murdered and robbed of her jewelry by an unidentified assailant at her home in Balaji Nagar.


Coimbatore: A harrowing scene unfolded in Balaji Nagar near Narasimhanaickenpalayam, where a 40-year-old woman, Renuka, wife of Manokaran, was brutally attacked and killed inside her home.



The incident occurred between 2 to 3 PM when the assailant, armed with a machete, inflicted lethal wounds on Renuka’s head and face, and fled with 3 sovereigns of gold jewelry.

Renuka had been home alone as her husband, Manokaran, who runs a sweater manufacturing company called Maha Chintanits, and their two daughters were out. Upon their return, they discovered Renuka in a pool of blood on her bed.



The local police from Periyanayakanpalayam were immediately informed and arrived at the scene.



The police officials, including Inspector Badrinarayanan and Sub-Inspector Namasivayam of Periyanayakanpalayam, are actively investigating the case, collecting fingerprints and other forensic evidence. The CCTV footage from the nearby area is also being scrutinized to identify the assailant.

The family, originally from the Nilgiris district, had been living in Narasimhanaickenpalayam for the past 12 years after building their home there. Renuka was employed at T.K.L. Nets, a local apparel company. The brutal midday murder and robbery have shocked the local community, causing widespread alarm.
