The arrest occurred near Karpagam College, a known area in the city, during a vehicle checkpoint operation conducted by the special task force led by Police Commissioner Badhrinarayanan.
The suspects, identified as Rajendra Prasad (59) from Kurichi region and Shivaji (49) from Erode district, were found with cannabis worth approximately Rs. 1,10,000.
