Coimbatore: Students from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University have immersed themselves in a rural housing project in the Dharapuram constituency.

They recently visited the KVK Pongalur (KVK), where Assistant Professor and Project Coordinator Dr. Saravanan provided insights. Following him, Dr. Durkai Yannan, an Associate Professor of Agriculture, explained the significant agricultural practices of crops grown in and around the Tirupur district. Subsequently, Dr. Gurumeenatchi, Associate Professor of Food Science, discussed the importance of proper waste conversion in agriculture and balanced nutrition. Lastly, Dr. Renukadevi, Associate Professor of Soil Science, detailed soil health management and nutrient management for coconut in a session. Dr. Rajendran, Professor of Forestry, highlighted the importance of silvi-pasture in agriculture within the Kangeyam region.
