Special Weekly AC Train from Chennai to Kochuveli via Coimbatore

Southern Railway announces a special AC train service from Chennai Central to Kochuveli, operating via Katpadi, Salem, and Coimbatore. Service starts from April 28, ending on May 30.


Coimbatore: Southern Railway has introduced a new air-conditioned special weekly train connecting Chennai Central to Kochuveli in Kerala. The service, numbered 06043, will commence from Chennai every Wednesday at 3:45 PM, making stops at Katpadi, Salem, and Coimbatore, and is scheduled to reach Kochuveli the next morning at 8:45 AM. The last train for this seasonal service will depart on May 29.

On the return trip, the train numbered 06044 will commence from Kochuveli every Thursday at 6:25 PM. It will follow the same route in reverse, reaching Chennai Central at 10:40 AM the following day, with the final service scheduled for May 30.

The train will include 14 three-tier AC coaches to ensure a comfortable journey for passengers. This initiative aims to cater to the increased travel demand and provide a convenient travel option between the states during this period.
