Following reports of illicit drug activities in the area, the Assistant Inspector Shivaraj led a team that stopped two suspects behaving suspiciously around the ITI Corner.
Upon interrogation and inconsistent explanations, the suspects were taken to the Dharapuram Police Station. The continuous investigation under Inspector Ravi confirmed the illegal sale intentions, and 1 kg of ganja was confiscated. The suspects, identified as Devesh Rajak from Keeranur, Palani, aged 32, and Yasar Arafath from Kongarasampalayam, Dharapuram, aged 20, were detained.
