Applications Invited for Chief Minister's State Youth Award in Coimbatore

Coimbatore District Administration calls for applications for the Chief Minister's State Youth Award. Youths aged 15-35 who have contributed to social development can apply. The award includes a cash prize and a medal.



Coimbatore: In recognition of the services rendered to community development by young individuals, the Coimbatore District Administration has announced the call for applications for the "Chief Minister's State Youth Award." This annual award is presented to three males and three females between the ages of 15 and 35 during the Independence Day celebrations each year. The accolade comprises a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000, a commendation certificate, and a medal.

The award for the year 2024 will be bestowed during the Independence Day ceremony on August 15, 2024. Eligible male and female youths between the ages of 15 and 35, as of April 1, 2023, who will not exceed 35 years of age by March 31, 2024, can apply. This timeframe from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, will consider only the services rendered during the last fiscal.

Applicants must have been residents of Tamil Nadu for at least five years prior to applying and should attach relevant proofs of the same. They should have voluntarily performed measurable and significant community service. Employees from central or state government bodies, public sector enterprises, universities, and schools are not eligible to apply.

Furthermore, local influence and impact in the community will also be considered during the evaluation of applications. Interested candidates can submit their applications online via the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu's website www.sdat.tn.gov.in from May 1, 2024, until May 15, 2024, before 4:00 PM.

Required documents, including a copy of the submitted online application form, three copies of necessary documents, three passport-sized photos, and a police verification certificate, must be submitted to the District Sports Officer by May 17, 2024, before 4:00 PM.
