Tiruppur Village Administration Officers Protest Demanding Justice for Karuppasamy's Death

In Tiruppur, village administration officers staged a sit-in at the Udumalai Block Office demanding justice for Karuppasamy's death, urging for the arrest of two individuals named in his suicide note.

The village administration officers of Udumalai in Tiruppur district have staged a sit-in protest demanding justice for their colleague Karuppasamy's death. Karuppasamy, who had been working as a village administrative officer in Kanakkampalayam, tragically took his own life a few days ago at his residence in Koolanaickenpatti. The Komangalam police subsequently registered a suicide case.




In his suicide note, Karuppasamy alleged that his death was caused by his colleagues, Chitra and Mani, a staff member of Makkaludan Mudhalvar. This revelation has resulted in intense agitation among his peers, driving over a hundred administration officers to gather at the Udumalai block office area, demanding immediate arrest of the named individuals and conversion of the suicide case into a murder investigation.






During the protest at the Udumalai block office, the DSP S. Sukumaran along with Block Officer Sunderam engaged in discussions with the protesters. The aggrieved officers vowed to continue their protest until justice was served for Karuppasamy's death. This has caused significant tension in the area, with demands for prompt action from the Tamil Nadu Police during the protest. The situation remains tense as village administration officers continue their demonstration.
