Coimbatore Collector Inspects EVM Strong Room Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati reviewed the security arrangements at the EVM strong room located at Government College Of Technology on Thadagam Road, Coimbatore, which is under round-the-clock surveillance.



Coimbatore: In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the district’s electronic voting machines (EVMs) are securely stored and closely monitored in the strong room set up at the Government College Of Technology located on Thadagam Road, Coimbatore.

This secured facility is guarded around the clock by paramilitary forces and police personnel working in shifts, with enhanced security measures including armed police protection. The entire premises are under continuous surveillance with the support of web cameras to ensure the safety and integrity of the voting machines.

Today, district election officer and Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati personally inspected the strong room to assess the security arrangements and the readiness for the voting process. This inspection underscores the rigorous efforts and precautions taken to safeguard the EVMs.



Following the review, Collector Pati expressed satisfaction with the current security measures and reinforced the importance of maintaining high vigilance until the completion of the election process.
