Entry Restrictions at Topslip and Aliyar for Upcoming Lok Sabha Election

Tourist access to Topslip and Aliyar Dam near Pollachi will be restricted on the day of Lok Sabha elections to facilitate polling for local staff.

Coimbatore: In view of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled tomorrow across Tamil Nadu, a public holiday has been declared throughout the state. Correspondingly, the Forest Department has imposed a one-day travel ban for tourists to the Topslip area near Pollachi. Similar restrictions have been enforced by the Public Works Department at Aliyar Dam Park.

The forest and public works departments have confirmed that both Topslip and Aliyar Dam Park will be closed for the day to enable local employees to participate in the voting process. This temporary measure aims to ensure that all staff members have the opportunity to cast their votes without logistical hindrances.
