Tourist access to Topslip and Aliyar Dam near Pollachi will be restricted on the day of Lok Sabha elections to facilitate polling for local staff.

Coimbatore: In view of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled tomorrow across Tamil Nadu, a public holiday has been declared throughout the state. Correspondingly, the Forest Department has imposed a one-day travel ban for tourists to the Topslip area near Pollachi. Similar restrictions have been enforced by the Public Works Department at Aliyar Dam Park.
