Tragic Road Accident Near Tirupur Claims Lives of Five Family Members

A tragic collision between a car and a government bus near Tirupur resulted in the untimely deaths of Chandrasekar, Chitra, and three relatives, as they were returning from celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in Thirukadaiyur.


Tirupur: In a heart-wrenching incident early this morning near Olaipalayam, a car collided head-on with a government bus heading towards Trichy, resulting in the death of five members of the same family, who travelled in the car. 

According to initial reports, the family was on their way back to Tirupur after celebrating the 60th wedding anniversary of Chandrasekar and Chitra in Thirukadaiyur.



The collision was so devastating that Chandrasekar, Chitra, and three other members of their family were died on the spot.



One survivor from the accident, who was also a passenger in the car, has been rushed to the hospital with injuries. 

The aftermath of the crash led to a temporary halt of traffic on the Coimbatore-Trichy National Highway for approximately two hours. The Vellakoil police swiftly responded to the scene, clearing the wreckage and facilitating the resumption of traffic flow.

The police have registered a case to investigate the circumstances leading to this tragic accident. The local community is engulfed in grief, grappling with the devastating loss of an entire family under such tragic conditions.
