In Mettupalayam, during intense vehicle inspections by the flying squad on March 24, Rs. 1.24 lakh was seized in two separate checks due to lack of proper documentation. The amount was later submitted to the Revenue Officer's office.

Coimbatore: The flying squads in Mettupalayam Taluk have ramped up their vehicle inspections, leading to significant seizures on March 24. During one such check in the Sirumugai Ganesapuram area, Rs. 73,650 was seized from a vehicle lacking necessary documents. Another inspection near Black Thunder on the Ooty Road resulted in the seizure of Rs. 51,000 under similar circumstances. The total amount seized, amounting to Rs. 1.24 lakh, was taken due to the absence of appropriate documentation for the money being transported.

The seized funds were subsequently handed over to the office of the Revenue Officer, adhering to the protocols for such seizures. These actions are part of a larger effort to maintain law and order and ensure compliance with regulations ahead of significant public events. The diligence of the flying squads in conducting thorough vehicle checks highlights their commitment to upholding the law and ensuring the security of the region.
