Coimbatore's miniature artist UMT Raja Crafts 2 gm Gold Sculpture to Promote 100 percent Voting Awareness.

Ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections, Coimbatore-bases artist and goldsmith UMT Raja has created a unique 2-gram gold lock and key sculpture, featuring an Indian map and voting symbols to promote 100 percent voting awareness among citizens.



Coimbatore: In a bid to boost voting awareness for the forthcoming parliamentary elections, the election commision of India has initiated various awareness programs aiming for 100% voter turnout.

In this context, Coimbatore-based miniature artist and goldsmith UMT Raja from Kuniamuthur has crafted a distinctive sculpture using 2 grams of gold. This sculpture includes a lock adorned with the map of India and a key, both symbolizing the call for 100% voter participation.



Furthermore, the key is designed to feature the date of the election, marked by the number 19, along with an election stamp, and a finger marked with ink, emphasizing the importance of every vote in a democracy.

Raja mentioned that the key, symbolises 'the key to democracy is our vote', was designed to inspire citizens to exercise their voting rights. It took two days to complete this intricate piece of artistry, he added.
