Prominent figures, including assembly speaker Muthukumar, treasurer Kuzhandaisamy, and spokesperson Muthumani, joined the demonstration, emphasizing the urgent need to address the drug problem in the state.

The participants criticized the DMK government for watching idly as drug-related issues worsened, urging immediate action to safeguard the youth and ensure the well-being of society.
