Mayor and Corpn Commissioner Inspect Bhavani Water Supply Pumping Station at Bhavani Dam

The Mayor, Kalpana Anandakumar, and the Municipal Commissioner, Ma. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS, conducted an inspection at the Bhavani Dam's main water supply headworks in Coimbatore district to assess the water flow and storage levels on February 24, 2024.



Coimbatore: In a critical assessment of water management and supply infrastructure, the Mayor, Mrs. Kalpana Anandakumar, and the Coimbatore Municipal Commissioner, Mr. Ma. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS, visited the Bhavani Dam's main water supply pumping station yesterday, February 24, 2024. The inspection was aimed at evaluating the current water flow and storage levels, which are essential for the city's water supply.









Accompanied by Deputy Mayor Mr. R. Vetriselvan, Council Member Mr. Aslam Basha, City Engineer Mr. Murugesan, Assistant City Engineers Mr. Sakthivel, Mr. Sathiyamoorthy, and Mr. Nasar, along with Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board Engineers Mr. Johnson and Mr. Madhesan, and other municipal officials, the team scrutinized the facilities to ensure the city’s water supply remains uninterrupted and efficient.

This visit underscores the city administration's proactive measures in monitoring and managing water resources effectively, particularly in anticipation of the summer months when water demand spikes. The officials instructed the concerned personnel to take necessary actions to optimize water distribution and address any potential issues preemptively, ensuring a steady water supply to Coimbatore’s residents.
