Police Personnel Transferred Across Coimbatore Stations Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

In light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Assistant Inspector Selvanayagam has been transferred from Mettupalayam Police Station to Kovilpalayam Police Station, with the transfer taking effect on February 14.


Coimbatore: With the Lok Sabha elections in mind, several police officers in Coimbatore have been reassigned to different stations as part of a departmental reshuffle aimed at ensuring smooth conduct during the electoral process.

Among those transferred is Assistant Inspector Selvanayagam, who was previously stationed at Mettupalayam Police Station. He has now been moved to Kovilpalayam Police Station. The transfer was effected yesterday, February 14, marking a significant change in his professional duties. Various parties have extended their best wishes to him in his new role, highlighting the community’s support for the police force during this critical period.
