Coimbatore: A heart-wrenching accident occurred near Periyanayakanpalayam, close to the gas company area, claiming the lives of a municipality worker and his child.

The incident took place in the evening around 5 PM when Ashok Kumar, a 32-year-old employee of the Koodalur Municipality Water Department, along with his wife, Susheela, aged 30, and their 3-year-old child, Sarvanth, were riding on a two-wheeler heading towards Periyanayakanpalayam from their home near the gas company. A private bus traveling from Pollachi to Mettupalayam collided with their vehicle in front of the Vidyalaya Centre for the Differently Abled.
