This elephant, over the past two weeks, has caused significant damage to the crops, particularly targeting a coconut grove owned by a local named Manikandan and Thangamani's sugarcane field. Alerted by Thangamani, forest department officials engaged in a strenuous effort to drive the elephant back into the forest, highlighting the ongoing conflict between wildlife and human settlements.
