Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan, Chairperson of Pollachi Municipality, inspected the medical insurance camp organized in celebration of former Chief Minister Kalaignar's centenary, urging swift service for public health insurance registration.


Coimbatore: Marking the centenary celebration of former Chief Minister Kalaignar, a special medical insurance camp under the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme has been ongoing in Pollachi since January 10. The camp, currently serving Wards 12, 13, and 17, was held at the Pollachi Lorry Association Marriage Hall.

Residents of these areas participated in the camp, registering for the health insurance provided by the state government. The initiative is aimed at ensuring that more people have access to health insurance coverage.

Today, Pollachi Municipality Chairperson Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan visited the camp for an inspection. She reviewed the process and urged the officials to expedite the issuance of health insurance cards, ensuring that the public receives the benefits without delay. Her visit underscores the importance of accessible healthcare services and the commitment of local authorities to the well-being of the community.
