Coimbatore: The Akilandeswari Temple, associated with the Kottai Sangameswarar, is gearing up for its grand Kumbhabhishekam festival, scheduled for this coming Saturday (January 20, 2024). In anticipation of this significant event, Yaga Salas (sacrificial altars) have been set up today, followed by the conduct of the Ganapathi Homam, a ritualistic worship of Lord Ganapathi.

Numerous devotees have already started gathering at the temple to partake in these preliminary rituals, marking the beginning of the festival. The Kumbhabhishekam, a sacred consecration ceremony, is a highly revered ritual in Hindu temples, signifying spiritual rejuvenation and purification.

This event is expected to attract a large number of devotees, reflecting the temple's cultural and religious significance in Coimbatore.
