Road Safety Awareness Rally by Students in Coimbatore

Over 500 students from Ramakrishna College in Coimbatore, in collaboration with the city police, conducted a road safety awareness rally, emphasizing the importance of helmets, seat belts, and avoiding mobile phone use while driving.


Coimbatore: A significant road safety awareness rally was held today in Coimbatore's central traffic zone, led by students of Ramakrishna College in collaboration with the Coimbatore City Police.



The initiative, part of ongoing efforts by Coimbatore City Police and District Police to promote road safety awareness, saw enthusiastic participation from the students. Coimbatore City Traffic Deputy Commissioner, Chittrarasu, inaugurated the rally, marking its start.



More than 500 college students participated, holding banners and placards emphasizing the necessity of helmets, seat belts, and the dangers of using mobile phones while driving.



This rally aimed to educate and remind vehicle drivers and the general public about the importance of road safety measures. The involvement of young students in such initiatives plays a crucial role in spreading vital messages about safe driving practices across the community.



This event is a testament to the collaborative efforts of educational institutions and law enforcement in promoting public safety and responsible driving in Coimbatore.
