Site Inspection for Erecting Kalaignar's Statue in Coimbatore

Minister S. Muthusamy inspected the proposed site for a statue and library dedicated to the much revered former CM sand Dravidian stalwart Kalaignar in Coimbatore's Kaniyur, along the National Highway.


Coimbatore: In a significant move to honor the legacy of the revered Tamil scholar Kalaignar, Minister S. Muthusamy conducted a site inspection yesterday in Kaniyur, Coimbatore South District, located along the National Highway. The site is proposed for erecting a statue and establishing a library in memory of Kalaignar. The inspection was attended by the DMK Coimbatore South District Secretary Thalapathy Murugesan and other DMK administrators.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to commemorate Kalaignar's contributions to Tamil literature and culture. The establishment of the statue and library is expected to be a landmark in Coimbatore, serving as a testament to Kalaignar's enduring legacy in the region.
