Coimbatore: In a significant step towards community service, Emerald Jewel Industry India Limited inaugurated the Emerald Medical Center under its CSR initiative through the Girisha Trust. The center, aimed at providing affordable healthcare to the underprivileged, is located in the Thoppampatti Division of Coimbatore. The opening ceremony was graced by KG Hospital Chairman Bhaktavatsalam, who performed the ribbon-cutting.

The facility, celebrating 40 years of the company's establishment, is part of its commitment to undertake 40 different welfare activities this year. The Emerald Medical Center offers a range of services including general medicine, diabetes care, pediatrics, dental, cardiology, women's health, Ayurveda, naturopathy, psychological counseling, physiotherapy, lab, and X-ray services. Consultation fees are modestly priced at Rs. 50, with up to 20% discounts on medications.
