Coimbatore Police Urge Public to Report Frauds on OLX

Coimbatore Cyber Crime Police have arrested two individuals for defrauding numerous people using OLX and Aadhaar cards, and urge the public to report similar incidents.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Cyber Crime Police have released a statement concerning a recent fraudulent scheme involving OLX, a popular online marketplace. According to the report, Ramesh (30) from Nagapattinam and Aadarsh (22) from Coimbatore's PN Pudur area were arrested in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The duo allegedly used OLX to advertise sales of mobile phones, two-wheelers, and other items. They are accused of using Aadhaar cards of various unrelated individuals to deceive many people out of substantial amounts of money. Ramesh, one of the accused, is already facing eight pending cases in Tamil Nadu. The police have requested anyone with similar complaints to contact the Coimbatore City Cyber Crime Police Station for further investigation.
