Travel Restrictions Imposed on Marudamalai Temple Hill Path During Thaipusam

In view of the Thaipusam festival, a ban has been imposed on accessing Marudamalai Temple via the hill path on January 25 and 26.


Coimbatore: Due to the Thaipusam festival, the Coimbatore authorities have announced a ban on accessing the Marudamalai Temple through its hill path on January 25 and 26. The restriction applies to both vehicular traffic, including bikes and four-wheelers, and pedestrians. The Thaipusam festival at the Marudamalai Murugan Temple is scheduled to take place from January 18 to January 28.

To facilitate devotees, arrangements have been made for temple visits using the stairway and temple buses. These measures are in place to ensure the safety and smooth flow of the large number of devotees expected during the festival.
