Coimbatore: Marking the occasion of the English New Year, the Echanari Mahalakshmi Manthir Kovil in Coimbatore witnessed a unique celebration. Goddesses Durga, Mahalakshmi, and Saraswathi, collectively known as Mupperrum Deviyar, were adorned in magnificent silver armor. The event began with various types of Abhishekams (ritualistic bathings) for the deities, followed by the grand silver armor decoration. This rare and visually stunning event attracted a large number of devotees, who participated in the festivities and received blessings. The temple, known for its spiritual significance and cultural heritage, once again became a focal point for devotees seeking divine grace during the New Year.
