Road Safety Awareness Campaign Conducted for School Children in Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu

Tirupur District Police Collaborate with Amaravathi Nagar School to Educate Students on Road Safety Measures


Udumalpet: In an initiative aimed at promoting road safety among school children, the Udumalai Police Department, in collaboration with Amaravathi Nagar School in Udumalpet, organized an awareness event. The event, held at the prestigious Amaravathi Nagar School in the Udumalpet district of Tirupur, saw active participation from both students and faculty members.

Led by the school’s headmaster, M.S. Manikandan, the event featured insightful presentations and demonstrations by Shanmuga Murthy, a researcher from the Udumalpet Police Department, and S.A.I Nelson, the founder of the Life Safety Foundation. Both experts shared valuable information regarding road safety protocols, emphasizing the importance of following traffic rules and adopting safe practices while commuting.





The interactive session included engaging discussions and live demonstrations, ensuring that the students grasped the significance of responsible road behavior. Additionally, an art exhibition highlighting road safety themes was organized, showcasing the creative talents of the school’s students.

Nelson expressed his satisfaction with the students’ active participation, emphasizing the need for such awareness programs to be a continuous effort in educating young minds about road safety. The event concluded with the distribution of informative pamphlets and goodies, encouraging the students to share their newfound knowledge with their families and peers.



The collaborative effort between the Udumalai Police Department and Amaravathi Nagar School highlights the community’s dedication to nurturing a safety-conscious generation. Such initiatives play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of responsible road behavior among the youth.
