Coimbatore: In an initiative aimed at enhancing road safety awareness among school students in Tamil Nadu, the state government collaborated with Kutti Cops, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting road safety education.

As part of this partnership, a specialized training program was conducted for school students, focusing on road safety rules, pedestrian safety, and traffic regulations.

The training program included interactive sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, designed to educate students about the importance of following road safety norms. The sessions were led by experts in the field of road safety, including Amutha, an official from the Tamil Nadu Transport Department, along with police officers and educators.

The event took place at the Kalai Arangam (Art Center) in Coimbatore, providing a conducive environment for learning and participation. The collaborative efforts of government officials, law enforcement authorities, and educators highlighted the commitment to ensuring the safety of young pedestrians and instilling responsible road behavior from an early age.

This initiative aligns with the broader goal of reducing road accidents and creating a safer environment for everyone on the roads, emphasizing the importance of education and awareness in achieving this objective.
