Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin arrives in Coimbatore to a rousing welcome

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, who arrived in Coimbatore from Chennai by air, will attend the zonal booth committee meeting to be held at Kangayam in Tirupur district.



Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin will chair a meeting of dmk's Coimbatore zonal booth agents at Kangayam Padiyur in Tirupur district in the evening.

Tamil Nadu ADGP Arun, District Collector Kranthikumar Pati, Intelligence IG Senthil Velavan, West Zone IG Bhavaniswari, Corporation Commissioner Prathap, Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, District Superintendent of Police Badri Narayanan and party functionaries received the Chief Minister at the airport.

From the airport, he took a car to the Lee Meridian Star Hotel in Neelambur area of Coimbatore. After a brief rest there, he leaves for Tirupur district.

After completing the party programmes, the Chief Minister will return to Coimbatore airport by car and return to Chennai by an 8-50 pm flight.

More than 1,000 police personnel have been deployed in Coimbatore and Tirupur districts for the chief minister's visit.

Earlier in the day, he was accorded a warm welcome by DMK cadres on his way to the hotel from coimbatore airport.
