Two arrested for assaulting neighbour over verbal dispute in Coimbatore

The Thudiyalur police arrested Karna and Kishore for assaulting Srinivasan over a dispute between neighbours in Kalaignar Nagar area near Appanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore. They are also on the lookout for Vallarasu and Lokash, who are absconding.


Coimbatore: The police have arrested two persons for assaulting a neighbour at Vaithagarar near Appanaickenpalayam.

Srinivasan is a resident of Kalaignar Nagar near Appanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore, while Karna and Kishore live near his house as a driver. The two of them had already had a previous enmity.

Karna and Kishore along with their friends Vallarasu and Lokesh got into an argument with Srinivasan, who was standing near his house on Monday. It turned into a handshake and the four men attacked Srinivasan severely. Srinivasan was injured in the incident.

Karna and Kishore were arrested and lodged in Coimbatore Central Jail on the basis of a complaint lodged by Srinivasan at thudiyalur police station. They are also on the lookout for Vallarasu and Lokesh, who are absconding.
