Two women activists from Madurai arrested for slapping woman cops In Sulur

Sulur police stopped the activists at Sulur when they were on their way to Coimbatore from Madurai to protest against RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Ooty and tried to bring him to the police station. It is learnt that the two women had allegedly assaulted the women constables.



Coimbatore: Two women from Madurai have been arrested for assaulting a woman cop in Sulur. Sulur police stopped the activists at Sulur when they were on their way to Coimbatore from Madurai to protest against RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Ooty and tried to bring him to the police station. It is learnt that the two women had allegedly assaulted the women constables. The police are currently making arrests.

An all-India meeting of the RSS is being held in Ooty which will be attended by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.Nandhini and Niranjana, sisters from Madurai, had announced that they would protest against the meeting in Tamil Nadu. On Thursday morning, the Sulur police received a tip-off that the two women were on their way to Coimbatore in a government bus.

Following this, barricades were erected in front of sulur police station and vehicle checking. It was then that it was found that the two women were in a government bus from Madurai. The police immediately tried to bring the two to the police station. The two women then severely assaulted the woman policeman, in which a woman constable named Anandi fell three slaps on her cheek. Shocked by this, the police summoned some more people and nabbed the two and brought them to Sulur police station. At that time, they abused the police.



In this regard, the police held discussions with top police officials and surprised the Sulur Judicial Magistrate's Court by arresting both Nandhini and Niranjana. Following this, both of them were remanded in judicial custody in Coimbatore Central Jail.
