Tamil Nadu CM doesn't open his mouth on mekedatu dam construction - BJP workers wear black shirts to protest

BJP's farmers' wing state president G K Nagaraj has alleged on Monday that the Tamil Nadu chief minister's failure to speak on the Mekedatu dam at the opposition's meeting in Karnataka is an expression of his selfishness.

Coimbatore: BJP's farmers' wing state president G K Nagaraj has alleged that the Tamil Nadu chief minister's failure to speak on the Mekedatu dam at the opposition's meeting in Karnataka is an expression of his selfishness.

A meeting of opposition leaders was held in Bengaluru on Monday to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. It was attended by leaders of political parties from various states.

In this situation, at a meeting of opposition parties in Karnataka yesterday, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister condemned the non-speech on the construction of a dam at Mekedatu.

At the BJP's district office on V K K Menon Road in Gandhipuram in Coimbatore, the party's city district members and farmers' wing state president G K Nagaraj and others wore black shirts and staged a protest.

This was followed by a press conference by BJP state agriculture wing president G K Nagaraj. "The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is silent as the Karnataka government has decided to construct the Mekedatu dam. The BJP's farmers' wing has strongly condemned the non-speech at a meeting in Karnataka. He is talking to the Government of Karnataka friendly. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is deceiving Tamil Nadu.

"We are waiting for him to get the right to water when he comes back to Tamil Nadu, but there he will speak for social justice and not for the people of Tamil Nadu. Not talking about Cauvery water seems to be about the self-image of the real chief minister.

Issues related to Anaimalai Nallar, Mullai Periyar and Cauvery will be reflected in the BJP state president's padayatra. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister does not speak to those in the alliance for the welfare of the party's family.

The attempt to build the Cauvery Mekedatu dam in Karnataka should be abandoned. If the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu had assured me that I would come to Karnataka only if I gave up, The Karnataka government would have issued an announcement, but the Tamil Nadu chief minister did not do it for selfish reasons.
