Wild elephants destroyed the Anaimalai Club building near Valparai

The movement of wild elephants is causing panic in the estate areas around Valparai in Coimbatore district. Elephants are seen wandering in both single and herd units, entering residential areas in search of food and destroying property such as windows, noon meal centres and grocery stores. This has caused widespread fear amongst the local population.



Coimbatore: The movement of wild elephants started in the estate areas surrounding Valparai in Coimbatore district. Wild elephants roam freely in many estate regions, both alone and in herds.



The wild elephants coming out of the forest area enter the residential area in search of food, break down the window of the house, the noon meal centre, the grocery shops, etc., and eat the food items inside.



As a result, the public is in great fear. 6 wild elephants that left the forest area last night.



They busted open the building's window and damaged it around 3 a.m. in the Anaimalai Club area of The Paralai Estate.



They shattered the glass window, the balancing room, and the cooking dormitory, among other things, and damaged the doors.

Velsamy and Chinnapparaj, who were on night duty, escaped by climbing onto the roof.

The forest department came to know about the incident and chased away the elephants from the area. The forest department has warned the public to stay safe as the movement of wild elephants has started.
