Tamil Nadu Farmers Association gifted tomatoes to the newly-wed couple in Coimbatore

The price of tomatoes has been steadily increasing in the past two weeks, reaching as high as 200 rupees per kilogram two days ago. Even today, tomatoes are selling at more than 100 rupees per kilogram. At a recent event, Su Palanisamy, president of the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Association, and the farmers presented tomatoes to the newlyweds and congratulated them .


Coimbatore: Tomato prices have been rising for almost two weeks.

Tomatoes were selling for more than Rs 200 per kg two days ago. Even today, tomatoes are sold for more than Rs 100 per kg. Tomato prices have skyrocketed due to the monsoon and low arrivals from outside the state.Many people have been posting memes and funny videos on social media about the rise in tomato prices.



The Tamil Nadu Farmers' Association gifted the newlywed couple with tomatoes at their wedding reception in Coimbatore. Ganesh and Hema's reception was held at a private hall near Coimbatore railway station.



Su Palanisamy, president of the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Association and farmers attended the event, presented tomatoes to the newlyweds and congratulated them.
