The second day of a black flag protest against the setting up of a dyeing plant held in Kunnangalpalayam

Residents of Tirupur district have been protesting for the second day straight, carrying black flags and marching down the street from home to home. Their anger is directed at a private company's decision to set up a new dyeing plant in the area, at Kunnangalpalayam close to Palladam.

Tirupur: In the Tirupur district, a private company is setting up a new dyeing plant at Kunnangalpalayam close to Palladam.

The village people won't be able to handle more dyeing companies in the area, and the residents will suffer greatly.

In addition, because dying water is mixed with drinking water and other contaminants, the groundwater will become contaminated and pose health problems. If more and more dyeing units are set up in the area, the area will not be completely inhabited.

For the second day, everyone in the area has been protesting while carrying black flags down the street and from home to house.

This has caused a commotion in the area, and they demanded that the officials of the Pollution Control Board should take immediate steps to stop it and the district administration should take note of the situation and save the people of the area.
