CCMC, Brookefields Mall and NGOs organise two day exhibition on Environment Conservation

This exhibition is conducted as part of the World Environment Day awareness programme, on solutions to plastic pollution.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore smart city in collaboration with BrookFields and various other NGOs had set up a two-day exhibition of organisations working for 'Environment Conservation'.



This exhibition is conducted as part of the World Environment Day awareness programme, on solutions to plastic pollution.



The displayed stalls exhibited various eco-friendly products relevant to global warming and synonymous effect.



The program is organized to create awareness among the people about plastic pollution and to make them participate in it.

Various games like climbing ladder and snake), quiz competitions, word matching etc. are conducted for the mall customers.

It is planned to create awareness on reducing plastic usage, reuse and recycling, waste segregation, waste disposal etc.



As many as 14 halls are being set up in this regard. NGO (Non-Governmental Charitable Organization).



Organizations such as GO (Government Organisation), Smart City Mission, Sirutuli, Tanzim, WWF, and Rock Esha Cube were part of this.

While addressing the media, Coimbatore corporation commissioner M.Prathap IAS said, "This initiative is a measure to protect the environment of this city. Many industries have displayed remarkable products as an alternative to reduce pollution and other effects of climate change. We hope this little step creates a greater transition."
